About

Prior to joining Engel & Voelkers, Bert had a prestigious career spanning 35 years in corporate America, where he worked for such companies as Dun & Bradstreet, McKinsey & Company, and Merck. Bert has always had a passion for real estate, having invested in and renovated several homes of his own, so it seemed a natural fit to follow this passion post-retirement. He enjoys meeting new people, and his dedication to his clients and his desire to help others are what motivate him most. Bert's love of architecture, coupled with his eye for design, provide him with a keen ability to match his clients' wishes with the right home, as well as skillfully feature a listed home's unique presence and character. A lifelong resident of NJ, the last 20 of which have been in Monmouth County, Bert has extensive knowledge of the different towns and neighborhoods in the area. This knowledge, along with his sharp attention to detail, allow him to help buyers in a highly focused search for their new home, and to help sellers get the highest value for their current home. When not assisting clients, Bert enjoys relaxing at home with his husband, Tom, and their Boxer, Grace, entertaining friends, and volunteering for animal rights organizations. He is an exercise enthusiast and can be found swimming or cycling whenever time allows.
